I think I got myself into a reading rut over Christmas vacation.  I picked up a couple books, started them and then put them down because it just wasn't what I wanted to read.  I can be a moody reader- especially when I am reading for my own pleasure and not for reviews.  What do I really want to read?  I was in this predicament when I started reading this book by Cami Checketts.  I had picked up two books, started them, but they weren't tickling my fancy.  I started this book and right away it caught my attention because, hello kiss!  Yeah, I will admit with no shame that I really love when a books starts me off with a tingling kiss.  That was the hook for me with this book.  It made my drive through Nevada a WHOLE lot more pleasurable!!

The premise of this book is unlike any other I've read.  I loved the extreme sport slant and how Bridger was so gifted with athletics and didn't back down from the challenges posed to him.  He was strong, capable and determined.  He protected Avalyn with everything in him.  That is sexy.

This book hit my sweet spot for sure.  I loved all the yummy kissing, the swirling attraction and the building tension.  The story had me engaged and interested from start to finish.  I loved the ending.  <dreamy sigh>

The Fearless Groom (Texas Titan Romances) by Cami Checketts

A bachelor auction, a hot football player, and the right woman to bring him to his knees.

Izzy Knight walked away from her father’s billions and his Titans football team to become a nurse practitioner at a children’s hospital. She’s busy and accomplished and certainly has no room in her life for a larger-than-life football player who goes through women faster than she completes a shift at the hospital.

Xavier Newton loves football but hates the games that go along with it. When the owner of the Titans forces him and his buddies to be sold like cattle at a bachelor auction he barely endures the event, until a feisty brunette bids half a million dollars for him. He’s completely drawn to Izzy, but when he finds out her father is the owner of the Titans sparks fly and everybody’s loyalties are challenged.

Can these two find love when they don’t know who’s waiting to tackle them from the blindside?

 * Amazon * Goodreads *

Oh yeah, I'm super excited about this new book by Cami Checketts!  I mean, come on.  A hunky football player who loves his mama, donates time and money to orphanages and did I mention he is hunky?  Oh.  I did.  Xavier also has a tendency to get slapped.  Quite a lot.  I'm not sure if that says something about him or the girl that is doing the slapping.  In my most humble opinion, I think it says more about the girl doing the slapping.

Izzy has some issues.  Mostly daddy issues which leads to relationship issues.  Izzy is afraid and fear will always hold you back.  Xavier is in a constant state of proving himself but he is pretty much fearless.  I love his confident attitude and his generous spirit.  He was the rock star of the story for sure.  And come one!  He's HUNKY!

Sparks fly from the very first interaction between Izzy and Xavier and they never stop.  Sparky, sparky.  And I sure love sparky!  There is a bit of danger thrown in too.  It might just surprise you!

So, if you are in the mood for some sparky romance with a hunky football star, this is your book today!

Onboard for Love (Billionaire Beach Romance) by Cami Checketts

Alicia Noir believes her ex-husband's race car is more important to him than his family. When their eight-year old son pulls them into the cruise vacation of a lifetime, she has to find a way to resist Trav's charm, his well-formed chest, and especially his unending kindness. Will vacation reignite their love or is their romance destined to crash and burn for the final time?

Cami Checketts specializes in sweet, romantic stories.  I feel like she writes them just for me- because if I am in the mood for some feel good romance, Cami is an author I look to.  She makes reading effortless and easy- the perfect diversion.

I think this book is my favorite of Cami's most recent.  I loved Trav, his kindness, his sincerity and his persistence.  He really wants to understand Alicia and fix whatever went wrong.  Did I mention he is kind?  Kindness is really so sexy.  I really just loved Trav.

When you add in an energetic eight year old boy, a cruise through the Caribbean and all kinds of misunderstandings- well, it's the perfect set up for romance with a side of frustrating hair pulling!  But all's well that ends well and this one ended SO well.  It made me happy!

You can pick this on up on Kindle Unlimited if you have that.  I LOVE Kindle Unlimited!

How to Love a Dog's Best Friend : Must Love Dogs by Cami Checketts

Attacked as a child, Brikelle Manwaring is terrified of dogs. When Colt Jepson's huge Great Dane chases her up a canyon, she tells him off and prays she'll never see either of them again.

When Colt and Brikelle are forced to pretend they are married, Colt discovers there’s more to Brikelle than a feisty beauty who likes to tell him off.

Their deception grows until neither of them are sure what is reality and what is fiction. The only thing they know is if they don’t tell the truth soon, they might lose their careers and any chance to be together.

Can Brikelle ever learn to love a beastly dog, or his owner?

Ooh, ooh, I loved this book!  I love when books start right off with instant attraction and a kiss.  This one jumped right into sparks flying- even if they were a bit hot and angry to begin with.  The attraction was still there.  Yummy kisses in this one!

There's nothing like a pretend marriage to get a couple close and into each other's business!  Colt and Brikelle were able to progress their relationship quickly due to the unexpected situation they found themselves in.  Colt was all in and not afraid to let Brikelle know just how attracted to her he was.  I liked that he knew what he wanted and went after it.

I read through this book so quickly and I want to go back and read it again!  It was fun and light and made me smile.  Cami Checketts is one of my favorites and I'm always happy to see a new book from her!

The Daring One: A Billionaire Bride Pact Romance by Cami Checketts

Summer Anderson has the perfect life—designing toys and traveling the world—until the venture capitalist company, Mumford’s Sons, helps her dad sell his toy company to the highest bidder. Summer loses her designs, her job, and her lifestyle, and is forced to work for a friend in Crested Butte, Colorado.

Chance Judd, owner of Mumford’s Sons, takes a mountain biking trip to Crested Butte and accidentally runs Summer off a running trail. He asks her out repeatedly, but she always has a sarcastic response ready for him. When he finally convinces her to go to dinner, he realizes that he is partly responsible for her losing her job and designs, and knows she’ll hate him if she finds out the truth. He has no choice—he lies.

But how long can a secret this big stay hidden and will Summer ever forgive him when she finds out the truth?

 * Amazon * Goodreads *

This book was yummy!  So, so yummy.  I loved it!  The characters were vibrant, the dialogue was snappy and entertaining and the kissing scenes were toe curling!  Yay!!  I think this one my be my favorite of them all.

If only there was a Chance Judd for everyone in this world.  <sigh>  I'm pretty sure the world would be a happier place.  :)  I like how balanced Chance and Summer were in wits and smarts.  They were well matched and complimented each other well.  The chemistry between them was fantastic.

It was also fun seeing characters from previous books.  Just a glimpse of them, really but a bit like coming home.  Ooh, and I love the cover!

This Billionaire Bride Pack Romance series is such a fun one.  Maybe a bit unrealistic because how many young, attractive, gentlemanly billionaires are really out there?  I don't know but honestly, I don't really care.  These books provide a fantastic diversion and I so enjoy reading them.

Cami is one of my favorites in the clean romance writing world.  If you haven't read anything by her, you really, really should check her out.

Oh, and as a little bonus- Cami wrote a short story about Chance's brother, Byron.  We meet Byron in The Daring One and I'm so glad Cami decided to give us this bit about Byron.  He definitely needed a resolution in my mind.  :)  This novella was like a little bit of chocolate after finishing a very satisfying meal.  (I think I'm hungry. . .)

Both of these books are part of the Kindle Unlimited program.  :)

Marissa Yates fell in love with Byron Judd three years ago, but she caught him holding another woman and she ran. She’s built a great life for herself and has kept Byron at arm’s length, only talking to him through phone, email, or text. She knows if she sees him again, he’ll charm his way right back into her heart.

Byron has no clue why Marissa ran from his life, but he does know his only chance to win her back is his brother’s wedding. His brother’s fiancĂ©e, Summer, schemes up a Lonely Billionaire Pact to help him be reunited with the only woman who has ever broken up with him in this companion story to the bestselling Billionaire Bride Pact Romances.

Pass Interference by Cami Checketts

Hyde Metcalf, wide receiver for the Denver Storm, is recovering from pneumonia and needs the best personal trainer in Colorado to get him in shape for the season. With his dad missing again and his mom fighting Alzheimer’s, it's crucial he stays close to home.

Lily Udy idolizes Hyde Metcalf and the Denver Storm. Her dream is to be a team trainer someday. When Hyde walks into the gym she’s working at and her boss gives her the opportunity to train him, it’s more than a dream come true.

Hyde thinks he may have found the perfect trainer and maybe more with Lily, until another man who wants Lily for himself, the media, his mom, and a horrible accident come between them. Happily ever after may be a pass that neither of them can jump high enough to reach.

Today I have a book written by Cami Checketts, who is one of my favorite, trusted authors in the clean romance world.  She has guest authored this book in the Last Play series by Taylor Hart.  (also one of my favorites!)  It's just awesome all the way around.

This Last Play series revolves around professional football players.  I've read every single one of them and enjoyed them all so much.  Occasionally characters from previous books make an appearance and it makes this whole series feel a bit like coming home.

The sparks immediately fly between Hyde and Lily.  Lily may have a bit of fan girl syndrome when it comes to Hyde and because of that she is determined to get him into top shape for his upcoming football season.  As Lily gets to know Hyde, she realizes that he is a great man on and off the field.  I loved how their relationship progressed so naturally from attraction to admiration and friendship to more.  Lily's family was a fun addition to the story and brought a lot of moments of connection for me as a reader.

This was the perfect book for me to read this week.  I needed a good, romantic escape after reading a book that had my heart pounding with anxiety and suspense!  Pass Interference had me smiling and made my heart happy.

The Protective One: A Billionaire Bride Pact Romance by Cami Checketts

Betrayed by an FBI agent while in protective custody, MacKenzie Gunthrie escapes a crime lord and is left hiding from the authorities and her enemies. She finds solace in the peaceful mountain town of Crested Butte, Colorado. With help from a longtime girl's camp friend and a new identity, she's starting to feel safe. The only problem is the overconfident and much too good-looking Isaac Turnbow. Protecting identity has become second nature, but Isaac poses a threat to her heart.
Isaac Turnbow has an undeniable need to convince MacKenzie he’s someone she can trust and kiss, but when well-armed men arrive to disturb their budding relationship, he must prove to her and himself that he can protect her.

This fast-paced, clean Billionaire Bride Pact Romance is a fun and touching read you won’t be able to put down.

 * Goodreads * Amazon *

If the cover isn't enough to convince you to read this book (those shoes!!), then let me just say that this is one you don't want to miss.  Cami Checketts has put together a romantic suspense with plenty of sparks zinging between the characters.

This book is part of the Billionaire Bride Pact series, written by a few different authors.  Each story follows a different person in a group of friends.  This is MacKenzie's story.  I love this series because it's the perfect escape.  Each story has it's own style and feel yet they are all linked together with the common friendship between the main characters.  You don't have to read these in any particular order.

I read through this one fast!  It was hard to put down.  MacKenzie drove me a little nuts but it all came out right in the end and Isaac steals the show!  I really loved him- especially when he threw a punch into Brad's face.  It may not have endeared MacKenzie to him, but that's when I knew Issac was the best.  :)

This is a fun addition to this series that I love!

Caribbean Rescue (Destination Billionaire Romance) by Cami Checketts

Just in time for the Summer Olympics, bestselling sweet romance author Cami Checketts brings you a new Destination Billionaire Romance.

Zack Tyndale was destined to win gold in the 2012 Olympics, but he tripped and shattered his own dreams. Running from his controlling father and the compassion in everyone’s eyes, he buys an island in the Caribbean where he can live blissfully alone.

Madeline Panetto’s graduation present is a trip sailing around the Caribbean on her father’s yacht. Unfortunately, her father is a pirate, and when there is an uprising on his ship, she escapes and crash-lands on Zack’s island.

Can these two find refuge from the pirates and with each other?

 * Amazon * Goodreads *

Ummmm, I love me some billionaire romances.  This one was really yummy.  (I'm hungry right now and I'm sensing some food related words overpowering my brain. . .)  What a combination- the Caribbean, a hot reclusive Olympian (with his own private island!!) and dangerous pirates.  It was the perfect set up for a fantastic romantic suspense.

I love Cami and her books.  She knows how to bring in the best balance of suspense and romance.  I loved these characters.  I felt like I knew them and I could easily picture them in each new place.  This book is fast paced- just like I like it.  Of course, it was over way too soon, but I sure did enjoy the time I had in this story.

This is a fun series as each book is written by a different author but share the one common theme of the billionaire.  They are independent books- not one depends on another so you can jump in and read them in any order.  Not all have the suspense element, but if you enjoy a bit of danger in your books, you should really pick this one up.  It's one of my favorites!

Kisses Between the Lines: An Echo Ridge Anthology (Echo Ridge Romance Book 2)

Welcome to Echo Ridge, New York where romance finds its way into the hearts and lives of the people who walk the streets of the close-knit community.

In these five novellas, readers will experience the power a book has to change a life, make dreams come true, and bring two hearts together as the characters work to fill the classic section of the library. Filled with charm, wit, secrets, and hope, each story is a sweet romance with a promise to keep you turning pages into the night. We hope you enjoy this book and the kisses between the lines.

The Kiss Thief by Rachelle J. Christensen
As the head librarian of the Echo Ridge Library, Britta Klein thrives on order and categorization. Unfortunately, the old church-turned-library is in desperate need of a renovation. The Harvest Hurrah fundraiser seems to be the answer, but plans keep going awry. With help from Milo Geissler, accomplished musician, piano tuner, and kiss thief, each catastrophe is narrowly avoided. When Milo goes to great lengths to help Britta find a key classic book, she begins to wonder if there is more to life than books and order. Can she allow this man who speaks the language of music to tune her heart to a new song?

The Lion, The Witch, & The Library by Lucy McConnell
Jennifer Solomon's birthday wish is for the one thing she's been too shy to go after: Kirke Staples, Echo Ridge’s resident playwright, an avid mountain biker, and her best friend. Friend, as in don’t kiss, don’t covet, and don’t under any circumstances fall in love with the man. But it’s too late—she’s already fallen in love. Hoping for a birthday kiss that will change everything, she arranges an "accidental" meeting with the handsomest man on the library board. Her carefully laid plans are thrown off track when the beautiful Bay Barington sweeps into town and casts a spell over Kirke. In her efforts to win Kirke’s heart, Jennifer is forced to take a look at her inner self and decide what type of woman she wants to be, a lion or witch.

The Last of the Gentlemen by Cami Checketts
Despite the hardships she’s faced, Emma Turner, is determined to make a good life for her three children. Working nights and struggling through life doesn’t leave much time for romance, which is just fine as far as Emma is concerned. But when her son's good-looking lacrosse coach takes an interest in her children, Emma has to fight off the smolder in her stomach and banish her daydreams. This school-girl crush needs to end before she embarrasses her son and herself. If only she could tell that to her heart.

Much Ado About a Kiss by Heather Tullis
Fay’s life is just fine, thank you. Running the cafĂ© she’d practically been raised in: Check. Her artwork in a gallery: Check. Volunteering on the library board: Check. The one thing she doesn’t need right now is a guy in her life—especially her brother’s irritating best friend from high school, so when the two men announce that they are moving home to start a ski and mountain bike shop in town, she isn’t pleased. If only she could completely forget that one kiss she and Austin shared in high school. Why does he have to upset her just-fine world? Not this time. Not if she can help it. But can she?

Pride & Persuasion by Connie E. Sokol
Lindy Marchant has left heartbreak and downtown L.A. to help her cousin kickstart an antique shop in sleepy Echo Ridge. That is, until she's roped into the library fundraiser to become an assistant for Armand D. Beaumont, the French bestselling detective writer. The two have met before, and Lindy hasn't forgotten the disastrous outcome. Now Armand's celebrity quirks threaten to upset her life yet again.

Some of my favorite authors are filling the pages of this book!  What a fun trip back to Echo Ridge, New York to meet new characters and see some from the previous books.  This is the second book in this series, but it can be read independently.

I love anthologies like this.  They give you a common theme between the novellas but the variety of different authors and writing styles.  I love how the authors of this anthology include characters from each other's novellas in their books.  It ties the stories together and gives everything a real feeling of community.  The book/library fundraising theme for this anthology was so fun.  I could easily picture the library, events and characters in all these stories which was fantastic.

So, it's love from me for this book!  I'm looking forward to the next book and what these authors come up with next!

The Independent One: A Billionaire Bride Pact Romance (Billionaire Bride Pact) by Cami Checketts

Haley Turnbow escapes to the tropical Isla del Sol for an ideal vacation with her five-year old. She doesn’t plan on the resident ghost stalking her and the island’s fine-looking owner drawing her in with his confident, fun personality.

Cal Johnson is king of his own island, happy and busy. A beautiful mom and her wild little boy flip his world upside down. He falls in love with both of them knowing they’re going to leave at the end of their vacation and he might not recover from the loss.

Can these two independent adults trust their hearts or is it not worth the risk?

 * Goodreads * Amazon *

Is having the cutest shoes on your book cover a "thing" now?  I've been reading so many books with the cutest shoes on them.  I love the shoes on this cover.  How cute are they?  I wish I were young enough to wear them.  :)

I'm always so happy to read books by Cami and I happen to really love this whole series which includes different authors writing about a group of girls who made a pact at a summer camp one year.  They can all stand alone and be read independently but when you read in order, sometimes you get to revisit old friends in later books and they mean more to you.

This book had the perfect island setting with sandy beaches and sunshine but it was the characters who stole my heart.  I loved Haley, Taz and Cal.  I loved them separately and I loved them together.  That little Taz was so endearing.  Cami captured four year old antics perfectly.  And Cal?  He is the man.

This book had an excellent flow to it.  There was a bit of suspense which was a fun addition.  I was invested in it and I loved the happily ever after ending.  If you are looking to feel good with a romantic escape and a few smiles, this is your book.  It was over way too fast for me!

I'm thrilled to announce the re-release of Shadows in the Curtain with Gelato Books. Do you love the cover or is it just me?

I found an extra box of print copies of Dead Running in a closet and thought it would be fun with this release to give them all away. Please enter below to win one of 20 print copies of Dead Running or a $25 gift card.

Here is my review, along with one from my blogging friend, Katie.

Here's the thing. Cami Checketts knows how to write a good book. She knows pacing and tension and love. She brings those things together in such a fabulous way that I literally devour her books. Can't put them down, so bummed when they are over kind of devouring. The characters are real and believable and you connect to them, feel with them.

Before reading this book I read a couple books that were less than stellar and it's super hard to write reviews that are negative. You start questioning if you are just being too picky, you know? But then I picked up this book and I was reminded that yes, I do know what a good book is. This is the kind of book that keeps you pressing forward, wanting to read more.

Cami is one of my favorite romantic suspense authors and I am always so excited when I see she has a new book coming out. This was probably one of my favorites so far. It was a good, clean book and a great diversion for my brain. Yay!

"I love a good romantic suspense and Shadows in the Curtain was great--really creepy! I made the mistake of reading it at night while my husband was out of town and I was a little scared. I definitely didn't want to look out of the window and tripled checked the locks.

Emmy is such a sweet woman. She is very loyal to those she loves and is dedicated to her work. She is a very talented actress, but instead of focusing on fame and fortune, she seeks love and happiness. Emmy really has her priorities in line. I enjoyed the friendship she had with her neighbors, especially Kelton.

Josh is a mystery--is he the stalker/murderer or is he a friend? Sparks really fly between Emmy and the new firefighter, which makes it harder for Emmy to stay away.

I loved the suspense and mystery, because like I said before, it was really creepy. I thought it was well-done in a way to keep the reader engaged and invested in the story. The romance was sizzling, but clean, and for me (a clean romance lover), that kept me flipping the pages. The characters were well written and the mystery kept me guessing. I loved the setting--I love the ocean and would love to have a house in a place like this one (small town Oregon)!"

Maryn Howe isn’t intimidated by billionaire recluse, Tucker Shaffer, or his enormous log cabin in Island Park, Idaho. Maryn needs this interview and she’ll get it at any cost, even if the last four reporters were physically removed from his presence.

Tucker Shaffer has no desire to change his less than flattering public image; but his PR people persuade him to give it one more try. Ready to make nice with whoever comes through the door, Tucker is blindsided by a petite blond with an extra-large personality. As the snow piles up and the questions keep coming, Maryn discovers the secret Tucker Shaffer has spent the last four years torturing himself with. She suddenly sees him in a new light and she flees—right into danger and into Tucker’s arms.

But the danger has just begun and now Maryn has to make a choice—trust in Tucker or lose it all.

I'm really loving the books in this series.  This is the third one that I've read and it was so fun.  I love Cami Checketts so it was no surprise that I loved this book.  She has a gift for writing easy flowing dialogue and romance that grows naturally.

Maryn is spunky and lively.  She feels like a fun person to be around.  Tucker is a tortured soul, desperate to find acceptance and relief from the burden of guilt he carries.  It's an interesting combination of personalities.  This book had such a Beauty and Beast kind of feel to it.  I love Beauty and the Beast!  Even the housekeeper will remind you of Mrs. Potts.

This is a clean romance.  It left me with warm fuzzies in my heart and a smile on my face.

I simply cannot help it.  I love these Snow Valley anthologies.  Every single time.  This one was so fun!  I'm just all smiles.

These are some of my very favorite authors.  I love being whisked away to Snow Valley with new characters and some old ones popping up too.  It feels like I'm at home as a reader with familiar places and people while I get to know new people too.

I love how this installment included a couple stories of more "mature" characters- a married couple who have hit a bump in their road and a woman with grown children finding love again.  It was a good way to change things up a bit.

I enjoyed all the stories in this collection.  It was positive and happy and left me feeling good.  You just can't beat that.  :)

The Billionaire Bride Pack Romance Series: The Resilient One by Cami Checketts and The Passionate One by Jeanette Lewis

The Resilient One by Cami Checketts

Alyssa Armsworth, a world-renowned photographer, has no intentions of honoring the Billionaire Bride Pact she made as a teenager to avoid getting her bra hung from the camp flagpole. Marriage is the last thing on her to-do list and when her father forces his wealthy friends on her, she runs to Maui.

She plans to lay low, take some great pictures, and eat fresh fish--until Beckham Taylor arrives. Stuck in the same hotel and spending days on the white sand with the handsome ex-NHL star wouldn't be all that bad except Alyssa's done something in the past that Beckham could never forgive. Before she can confess, her misdeeds are thrust onto the front cover of a well-known magazine. Alyssa must overcome her fears or live without Beckham.

I'm so excited to be a part of reviewing this awesome new series!  Old friends make a pact at summer camp when they are young.  This series follows them as they each find love.

Cami Checketts is one of my favorites so any day I get to read one of her books is a good day for me.  Cami, to me, is know for bringing just a bit of suspense to her books.  It's what sets her apart in the romance genre.  The suspense isn't overwhelming or the focus, but it is there enough to keep you wondering and anxious.

Alyssa is hiding.  Hawaii is her escape and her refuge.  Or, at least it is supposed to be.  Beckham rolls in and disrupts her sanctuary, setting off a chain of events that come crashing in.  This book kept me reading, pushing forward because I just had to know.  I loved it.  The characters, the setting, the story- it was all fantastic.  LOVE!

Content:  Clean!  some references to unwanted sexual advances, attempted rape

I also read the next book as part of this review post, so here is the next book in the series:

The Passionate One by Jeanette Lewis
As the creator of the Billionaire Bride Pact, Erin Parker is determined to see it through. And now that wealthy, gorgeous Brennan Avery has been cast as her costar in a play destined for Broadway, things couldn’t be better. But Erin’s best friend, Matt Walters, isn’t ready to give up on her. He has a plan to escape the friend zone and prove to Erin that there are more important things than money and fame.

 * Amazon * Goodreads *

If the rest of the books in this series are as good as the first two, I am going to be a very happy girl.  I love this series so far!

This book is all about Erin.  No really.  It is ALL about Erin.  Which leaves me to repeat the same mantra over and over in my head:  "Poor Matt.  Poor, poor Matt"  Erin has him wrapped around her little finger.  Over and over and over.  Did I mention the "poor Matt" thing yet?  This makes Matt the clear underdog so of course I am rooting for him to get some happy.  He is a poor sap.  Or very tenacious.  One or the other.  Or, maybe a bit of both.  Regardless, I really liked Matt.  He is kind above everything else.

Erin will grow on you.  She has a clear idea of what her life is going to be like and she slowly, slowly learns that maybe it isn't so clear after all.  Erin is fun and adventurous.  She is vivacious and has a distinct personality.  But she is really self centered and doesn't extent herself outward much.  She doesn't really think about other people and how they are feeling.  It was good to see her mind shift- slowly but surely.

Even though I was frustrated by both these character for different reasons, everything came together in a way that left me satisfied in the end.  It was a fun story!

Carlos is no stranger to hard times and slowly shares his life of light and joy with Anika as they work together. Just as her fragile soul begins to feel hope again, an ill-timed act of charity changes everything. Ooh, this was such a fun getaway to Echo Ridge and Kenworth's Department Store.  I love how each of these novellas revolve around the same place but with different people.  It really felt like I was getting to know everyone.  It was also fun to see the characters cross paths in each story.  It was like making friends with people and still seeing them around.  I love that!

Each novella had it's own flavor because each was written by a different author.  These are some of my favorite authors and it was just like, well, Christmas having stories from all of them together in one place.

Each of these novellas will bring the warmth of Christmas and the flutterings of new love.  They are clean and so sweet.  Just perfect for this time of year!  I loved them.  And seriously?  For just a dollar you can read them all.  You just cannot beat that price.  Awesome!!!

Summer in Snow Valley: A Summer Romance Anthology + $25 Giveaway!

Summer in Snow Valley

Summer in Snow Valley #1 Bestselling Amazon Authors of Christmas in Snow Valley, have teamed up again with six wonderful summer novellas that are sure to make your summer sweet and sassy!

Catching Caytie by Amazon Top Seller Cindy Roland Anderson On the night Caytie Holbrook intends to break up with her cheating boyfriend, he blindsides her by announcing their engagement at a dinner party. When Caytie discovers her father is in on the scheme, she runs away from her home in Beverly Hills to hide out at her uncle’s ranch in Snow Valley, Montana. While Snow Valley is a beautiful place, Caytie only plans to stay until her twenty-fifth birthday when she’ll inherit a trust fund her grandmother left her, allowing her to pursue her dream to move to Italy. That is until she meets Jace McAllister, an incredibly sexy—although somewhat grumpy—cowboy who threatens to disrupt her plans.

Tin Foil Tiaras by Amazon Top Seller Jeanette Lewis Cameron Elliott has come to Snow Valley to coach Annalisa Drake in the Miss Snow Valley pageant, and prove to her demanding boss that she deserves a place at the prestigious Westbrooke Agency. But Annalisa’s handsome and protective big brother, Kyle, is determined to keep his sister from becoming a reluctant beauty queen. As Cameron tries to win Kyle over, Kyle insists some things are more valuable than a title and as crazy as it sounds, Cameron might just believe him.

A Touch of Love by Amazon Top Seller Cami Checketts Annie Stirland has endured a lifetime of teasing, embarrassment, and isolation due to her speech impediment. When irresistible cowboy, Luke Wilson, seems to be falling for her, she’s certain he’s too good to be true. A tragedy involving his ex-girlfriend proves she’s right. What man can resist sheltering someone they once loved? Annie knows she should walk away, but Luke isn’t ready to give her up.

First Love; Love First by Amazon Top Seller Taylor Hart Janet Snow doesn’t expect to get caught in a full-blown make out session at her brother’s wedding. Especially not with Michael Hamilton, the boy she’d written off ten years ago. Even though they both agree to no complications, Janet's not sure they can stick to it given their past. After a trip to the hot springs, a helicopter ride, and a proposal, even the most cautious single mother would start to wonder if true love really is just about the timing. Now Janet has to make a choice—play it safe or trust that her first love could also be her last.

Romancing Rebecca by Amazon Top Seller, Kimberley Montpetit Rebecca Dash loved spending her teen summers swooning over Jane Austin and helping her aunt at the Starry Skies Bed & Breakfast in Snow Valley. But as a recent college grad, she’d rather write sappy romance novels than go out with guys that make her a nervous wreck. When a team of fire-fighters set up camp on the lawns of the B&B and Captain Wade catches her eye, Becca soon learns that there’s more to a happily-ever-after than a flirty fireman with muscles the size of the Montana hills.

Love in Light and Shadow by Amazon Top Seller Lucy McConnell Mercedes O'Shay has sworn off gorgeous men because they have a tendency to break her heart. When she meets her new neighbor, Chet Bauer, she immediately puts him in the Do Not Date category based on his well-defined muscles and stunning blue eyes. But the more Mercedes learns about the cowboy who reads classics and forges iron, the more she realizes the heart doesn't see in black and white; it sees light and shadows.

I really enjoyed the first collection by these authors- Christmas in Snow Valley.  I was so happy to hear they had joined together again to give me more clean romances in a setting I feel like I now know.  Snow Valley!

As you can see from the blurb above, this book features six different authors each with a novella length story.  Two of my all time favorites are featured in this book- Cindy Anderson and Cami Checketts and I loved both of their stories here.  All the stories were good though and I sure did enjoy my time spent with this book.

I started out reading these straight through but about mid-way I was diverted and had to catch the rest of the book in snatches.  That's the good thing about anthology collections, the stories are short enough that you can read one at a time, here and there, or you can read them all straight through.  There is a continuity with the setting so you feel like you are getting to know the whole town and visiting some familiar places within each book.  I really liked that.

This book is up for 99 cents right now.  That is an AWESOME price!  There is absolutely no reason not so spend a dollar for 6 great stories that will fill your need for sweet romance.  :)

Protect This by Cami Checketts (prequel to the Tenderness and Terror Series)

Protect This is the prequel to the Tenderness and Terror series. It's available now for only $.99 at the following vendors:

With five female college students on the missing persons’ list, and the perpetrator still at large, Natasha is nervous about dating anyone. But, it’s hard to say no to Tony, the hot graduate assistant she’s been drooling over all semester.  Too bad she’s not sure who to trust and all the men around her feel more like suspects than heroes. When Natasha gets into trouble and the man that should have been the safest…turns out to be her worst nightmare, Natasha has no choice but to fight for her life and the man she almost gave up.

I may be a tad bit obsessed with Cami Checketts and this Tenderness and Terror series.  Maybe.  I may have let out a tiny "squee" when she sent me this prequel novella to review.  Okay, yeah, I totally did.  And I am.  Obsessed.

This is a quick, fast, over entirely too soon, novella.  I have no idea how Cami is able to pack all the good stuff into such a pint size book, but she does.  It's romantic suspense at it's best and it played out like a movie in my head.  So much fun!

I first met Natasha in "Blog This".  It was nice to get a bit of a background story on her in this book.  This is a great addition to this series.  If you haven't had a chance to read it yet, you really should.  Below are the other books in the series and a bit about them.

Will protecting children throughout the world cost Natasha her own family?
Devastated by the loss of her brother, Natasha Senecot works to expose the dangers of Matthew Chrysler's violent video games, succeeding in bankrupting and humiliating him.

Chrysler retaliates and sends a hit man after her. Natasha is forced to fake her own death to protect her children, but after witnessing another tragedy, Natasha won't hide any longer.

In a race against time, can Natasha expose Matthew Chrysler before his assassin murders her family and shatters her world?

"Cami Checketts is a genius! She writes about topics that aren't widely discussed, in and out of books, and she does such a brilliant job of crafting these things into wonderful stories that touch your heart and remain with you for days afterwards.I sat down in the library and started reading this book, just for a little while. Three hours later the book was finished and I was regretting reading in such an open environment without at least 20 packets of tissues handy. There are so many emotions in this book, so many different layers of love and bravery and hope and I loved every moment of it!" Myra, Blogger, Pieces of Whimsy

Some men are beyond redemption. Alex is one of them.
After Alex Chakhota was blackmailed and manipulated into becoming a hit man to protect his sister, serving time as the FBI's assassin doesn't do much to ease his conscience. His next assignment brings him face to face with Brittany, a beautiful woman that believes he's more than the killer he's been made into. The road to redemption is long for someone with a blackened soul, and with lives hanging in the balance, Alex has a short deadline.
Detective Scott Bentley's days of law enforcement are behind him. When he's asked to host agents at his secluded ranch for an FBI sting operation, Scott cannot refuse. Ivy McMahon shows up with the team, and Scott gets more than he signed up for. Not only can she hack into the any computer system, she's found a way into Scott's heart. The trouble is that she's in protective custody and when the job ends, she'll disappear.

Is redemption possible for those who lives are scarred by the past? With danger crowding close, not even love may have a chance to redeem before it's too late.

"This book was so good I couldn't put it down. I was fun to see so many characters from the first book, Blog This. I suggest you read that one first....by the end of the first book you start to like Alex. Yet, you want to hate him for all he has done. This book is really his redemption. You fall in love with all the characters even Alex. It is fast paced excitement the whole way through and such a great story! I was glad to see both Scott and Alex get the chance for love that they didn't get in the first one. Cami is one of my favorite Authors and once again she writes a really great book!" Julia Lance, Reviewer, Book Reviewing Rocks

"I cannot tell you how excited I was to read this book! Cami Checketts is one of my favorite authors. She knows how to write romantic suspense and I am always so drawn in by her books. I usually steam roll right through them because I cannot put them down. Redeem This grabbed me from the very beginning. The suspense is there from the very first chapter. There is a fantastic balance of suspense and character/relationship building. I could not put this book down!

Alex. Oy. Here's a guy that will make your heart squeeze. Honest. He is seeking redemption. Forgiveness. Acceptance. He's strong, handsome and yes, a bit dangerous. I'm telling you, heart SQUEEZE.

One of the other things I love about not only this book but all of Cami's books is that they are clean. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the no swearing/no sexual content.

Redeem This is the sequel to Blog This. If you haven't read Blog This yet, you really need to! Not only is it a fantastic book, it must be read before reading Redeem This."
