I think this book felt just like a Hallmark movie.  It was sweet, gentle and endearing.  The characters were both so likable.  I loved that Maurie and Grant had a history- even if it was when they were both so much younger.  Grant is the constant in this whole book- especially for Maurie.  He was around, helping and being kind when she really needed that in her youth and he hasn't varied from those personality traits as an adult.  I loved the feel of reuniting and the rekindling of old crushes and how those flames of attraction and friendship were gently fanned throughout the book.  It was ever so sweet.

But the more their friendship grows, the more she finds that her dream relationship with her doctor boyfriend isn’t so dreamy after all.

Ooh, this book made me so happy!  I loved the librarian/author characters! (of course I did.)  And what can be better than some sneaky hot kissing between the shelves?  Ha.  It was awesome.

Livvy is a funny girl.  She definitely starts this book with some firm goals of marrying a doctor.  Even if the doctor doesn't really give her the time of day.  Luckily Mason walks into her life and starts showing her that her doctor man might not be all that great.  Livvy and Mason start with friendship because that's a very good place to start.  Also, Livvy has a boyfriend so there is that too.  I loved how their friendship bloomed and then changed.  The attraction was zingy and fun.  Did I mention the kissing yet?  Because it was awesome.  :)  

I love this whole series.  It's one of my favorites.  This story is probably in my top two favorites of the series.  I'm looking forward to the next book, Let's Begin Again, which is now up for pre-order and will be coming out the end of January.

I've been waiting for this story since the very beginning of this series!  I'm so glad Dawson stepped into the limelight with this book but man, did his story tug at my heartstrings.  Poor Dawson was put through the emotional ringer but it was awesome to see him emerging like a butterfly into something better.  Clara is in a similar place but somehow it was Dawson that really captured my attention and my heart.  I loved how gentle and patient he was with Clara and how hard he tried.  It was endearing.

I'm have loved this Pine Valley series and I'm sort of bummed that I'm not getting more of them.   Maybe if I beg for a few more?  Also, I have series cover love for all the books in this series.  Isn't this cover fantastic?  The fonts, the pop of red.  Love.  This book falls into my easy reading, contemporary romance genre.  It's where I go when I want to escape.
