Books that evoke an emotional respon...haha I agree. Books that evoke an emotional response are the best. Although I still like my romances the most though. I don't feel too drained after reading them. I can't even explain how true this ...Oooh, yes! I can't even explain how true this statement is. The best books I have read did make me feel connected to the protagonists. I cried or laughed or whatever, but it felt REAL. *grin* Same time, I'm an escapist.. But I think with books the great thing is that they are a safe way to explore emotions. If a literary character dies, you are safe to mourn her or him, because.. well, it's not really real. (Bad example.. Really bad example.
